South Korea is one of those rare destinations where the old and the new sit side by side without ever feeling out of place. One moment you’re walking through a 600-year-old palace in a rented hanbok; the next you’re standing under the neon glow of Gangnam or riding a 300 km/h KTX train to the coast. It’s a country that photographs beautifully and offers something for nearly every kind of traveller: culture lovers, foodies, K-drama fans, honeymooners and families alike.
Seoul is usually where the story begins: Gyeongbokgung Palace, the hanok-lined lanes of Bukchon, the shopping chaos of Myeongdong, and the youthful energy of Hongdae. But Korea rewards those who travel beyond the capital. Nami Island’s tree-lined paths, the pastel houses of Busan’s Gamcheon Culture Village, and Jeju’s volcanic coastline all offer an entirely different side of the country.
South Korea is where centuries-old palaces sit comfortably beside glass skyscrapers, where quiet hanok villages give way to neon-soaked shopping streets just a few minutes away.
This 6-night, 7-day journey takes you from the royal heritage and modern energy of Seoul through the storybook countryside of Nami Island, ending with the colorful coastal charm of Busan. Along the way, it seamlessly blends culture, cuisine, nature, and dynamic city life into one unforgettable itinerary.
Perfect for first-time travellers to Asia, K-culture enthusiasts, couples and families, this itinerary blends iconic sights like Gyeongbokgung Palace and N Seoul Tower with offbeat gems like Gamcheon Culture Village and the Garden of Morning Calm, all connected by Korea’s famous high-speed KTX rail. Add optional experiences like a DMZ tour, Hanbok photoshoot, or Jeju Island extension, and it becomes a trip that’s easy to personalise but hard to forget.
With Tripround coordinating your accommodations, transfers, and complete travel logistics, South Korea becomes less of a puzzle and far more of an experience. It feels, quite literally, like stepping straight into your favourite K-drama.
Note: Suitability may vary depending on travel preferences, budget and mobility requirements.
Korea has four distinct seasons, and the “best” time really depends on what you want to see. Spring brings blossoms and mild weather, summer offers beaches and festivals, autumn is known for colourful foliage and comfortable temperatures, while winter brings snowscapes, skiing, and a completely different seasonal charm.
Each season offers a different way to experience South Korea, so your ideal travel window ultimately depends on the experiences you want to include in your itinerary.
Spring and autumn remain the sweet spot for first-time visitors.
Note: Flight and hotel availability may vary depending on seasonal demand.

For a well-paced first trip, 6 to 7 days is a comfortable minimum to cover Seoul properly, along with a day trip and one other city. If you want to add Jeju Island or explore at a slower pace, 9 to 10 days works better. Anything shorter than 5 days will feel rushed given how much there is to see between Seoul, Busan and the countryside in between.
Note: The ideal trip duration depends on your interests, budget and travel pace.

Planning your first trip to South Korea? This 6-night, 7-day itinerary covers three popular stops, taking you from the vibrant streets of Seoul to the scenic beauty of Nami Island and then to coastal Busan. It combines city exploration, nature, culture and local experiences while keeping the route practical for first-time travellers.

Yes. India is not on South Korea’s visa-waiver list, so a visa is required for mainland Korea there’s no visa-on-arrival or e-visa for Indian passport holders. The standard option is the C-3-9 short-term tourist visa, applied for through BLS International or VFS Global, valid for up to 90 days. Korea has moved to an electronic visa system, so once approved, you download and carry a Visa Grant Notice rather than a physical sticker. Processing typically takes about 10 working days, so it’s best to apply at least 3–4 weeks ahead of travel. The one exception is Jeju Island, which allows visa-free entry for up to 30 days if you fly there directly though if your trip includes Seoul or Busan, a full visa is still required.
Note: K-ETA (Korea’s electronic travel authorisation) does not apply to Indian passport holders it’s only for citizens of visa-waiver countries.
Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are the most popular seasons, thanks to cherry blossoms and autumn foliage along with pleasant weather. Winter is ideal for a snowy, K-drama-style experience, while summer suits beach time in Busan and Jeju.
6–7 days is a comfortable minimum for Seoul plus one other city or day trip. For a fuller experience including Jeju Island, plan for 9–10 days.
Seoul, Nami Island, Busan and Jeju Island cover the country’s best mix of culture, nature, city life and coastline from royal palaces and hanok villages to colourful coastal towns and volcanic landscapes.
A well-rounded 6 Nights / 7 Days package costs approximately ₹1.25 lakh per person, covering flights, hotels, breakfast, transfers, sightseeing and visa assistance. Costs vary with season, hotel category and optional experiences like DMZ tours or Jeju extensions.
A Seoul → Nami Island → Busan route over 6 nights / 7 days (detailed above) is the most popular first-timer itinerary, balancing city, culture, countryside and coast.
